Elegoo Reliability and Parts Support
I currently own an AnyCubic Vyper. Have had it since right after launch (around 4 years). Bone stock, as I don't have much interest in doing all sorts of mods. Has been pretty reliable, but has gotten "buggy" over the past year.
Given it's age, I'm going to pick up a newer printer. Have pretty much decided on either the AnyCubic Kobra S1 or Elegoo Centauri Carbon.
The thing holding me back from going with the AnyCubic is support, QC, and reliability. From what I've seen, their printers are hit or miss. I got lucky with my Vyper, while others weren't so fortunate. And this trend seems to be applicable across their product line. Not to mention, if you do have an issue, their product support is lackluster. And they seemingly abandon their new models far too quickly, in favor of their latest and greatest offerings.
The Elegoo Centauri Carbon seems like a solid printer for the price. I don't need multi-color. As I design and print functional items for around the house, workshop, etc. So I value accuracy, strength, speed, and reliabilty. Multi-color would be nice for occasional stuff for the kids. But not a deciding factor.
My question isn't "help me decide on a printer". Instead, I want to know about Elegoo's support and reliability. I've heard of the brand. But know really nothing about them.
Is Elegooo the good with parts and support? Aside from some preventative maintenance, are they generally reliable? And how does their QC fall on the spectrum?
