Can't add any widget that would bring up a selection dialog before actually adding it! 😠

Using Samsung S23, I just noticed it. I removed a Google Keep widget, wanted to readd with different note and it just jumps back to widget selection instead being able to select the note I want.

The same thing works with the built in Samsung launcher, but I've gotten so familiar with my AL layout and don't want to change.

Anyone have a solution? maybe downgrade AL from apkmirror or something?
