AE replacements? :/

I’ve been obsessed with Armchair and listened to every single episode of every series and spinoff since early 2020. In a lot of ways, Monica and Dax got me through the pandemic. But, like it seems many of you, they have rubbed me the wrong way recently. Putting business over relationships, lots of superfluous sex/potty talk, Monica being generally out of touch, etc. And the Wondery switch has sent me over the edge: I listen to podcasts on the subway, walking, cooking, so I have always liked that they do not require a visual. And the fact checks are so dated if you aren’t on Wondery (which I guess is the point but I don’t want to pay for Wondery if they bug me).

ANYWAY, I think I may need to breakup with or at least take a break from AE. However, I looooved my lil parasocial relationships and long-form content for long commutes. Any recommendations of similar podcasts (that don’t require video) that scratch that itch? Thoughtful yet still chatty/personal vibes preferred
