Are there any wild animals in China that require active measures to control their population?

In many parts of the US, the Deer population would explode and cause damage to crops and other wildlife if they weren't hunted annually. In fact, in some states, managing hunting season and keeping track of the deer population is actually a large portion of the state government's activity (the same department also usually manages fishing as well).

Are there animals like that in China, that require active measures to keep under control?
