Cat behavioralist in Austin?
Can anyone recommend a cat behavioralist in Austin. I have an 8 month old kitty that is urinating outside the litter box repeatedly on our two bed comforters. I’ve tried everything I can think of and now I need help.
Before you pass too much judgement, yes the litter box is cleaned multiple times a day (he will poop there, just not pee). I have tried 6 types of different litter. I have tried different styles of litter boxes. I have tried different locations for the litter box (and considered a need for privacy). Every time I clean the comforter (which is now multiple times a week and is just unsustainable) not only do I deep clean, I use a neutralizing spray with special enzymes to discourage him from continued marking. I am now out of ideas and at my wits end. This must just be a behavioral issue, right?
I have had many cats before and I have never had this problem…
EDITED: I should have mentioned this in my original post, but I also have gone to vet already and spent a few hundred dollars on labs including UTI testing, and the vet advised the problem does not look to be medical. He said it was either environmental or behavioral. I’ve exhausted every environmental change I can think of…
