crash destroys my drive
I played the Back 4 Blood alpha, so I got access to the beta. I have a custom built pc that can handle games quite well. On the first game, the game constantly kept freezing, and on the fourth act, my game froze for around 30 seconds to a minute, and when it unfroze, I was dead. On the fifth or sixth act, the game froze for around 3 minutes, then went to the blue screen of death and my pc said it was going to restart. I left the room for a while, and when I came back, my monitor was just grey. I turned it on and off several times, not getting into Windows. I left it on during the night to see if it was just being unbearably slow, but no. I then tried going in to the bios, with nothing working. I went out and bought a usb drive so I could get the windows installation media. When I plugged in the drive, I could access things like the command prompt, repair stuff, and to install windows. None of the repair things worked. In the command prompt, anything I did relating to my pc's drive or anything on that drive, I was told it did not exist. When I tried to reinstall windows, I could not format or delete any of the partitions to do so. I decided that the drive was just dead. The next day, I go to the store again and buy a new drive, and I was able to install and setup windows on that. However, I am now down around $130, almost two days, all my files on the old drive, due to a unoptimized game crashing my pc. The creators advertise this as "Extreme Replayability," but that is 100% a lie as it completely destroys your drive. Really?
edit: i wrote this here because it is pretty much impossible to find where you are supposed to write feedback, and the "report bugs" thing doesn't even work.
