Honor Mode Pro Tip: Don't Use Ice (Sometimes)
Just about had a heart attack with a quirky interaction in the very first Act 3 fight, please be aware of this for any Honor Mode runs y'all.
In the Astral Prism fight against Orpheus' honor guard, I was (just barely) able to snag a win. However, mid-introduction cutscene with the Emperor, both he and the last living Intellect Devourer aggro'd me.
From what I can tell, my Gale Ice Wizard build creates a lot of ice patches while slinging shit around. That left an ice patch near Orpheus' bindings. Then, mid-cutscene, the Intellect Devourer walked over to us and slipped prone on the ice patch, which BG3 decided means we're beefing now.
Since you're in the Astral Prism, you cannot Flee. If you kill the Emperor here, you lose. If he kills you here, you lose. If you stand there getting beat on by him for two rounds he is still angry (ask me how I know). Knocking him out might work, but what I ended up doing was using up some precious invisibility potions to turn everyone invisible and spend 4 turns freaking out and running away from the Emperor while he tried to find me before giving up and finally de-aggroing. Gave me -45 attitude by him for the whole party but I could then do the cutscene and proceed as normal.
If you're in that fight I suggest making absolutely sure you're either A) not creating any ice patches during the fight or B) removing said ice patches before you end it. Almost threw 50+ hours of Honor Mode campaign out the window because someone took a spill while talking to me right after the stress situation of fighting the Avatar of Myrkul on HM, holy crap I was so freaked out.
