At Moonrise Towers, worth backtracking to the Mountain Pass?

First play through, I elected to go through the underdark and act 2 has been gruelling for me so far. I have few camp supplies left having just arrived at the Moonrise Towers and I have not exactly explored the whole of the map before that.

Is it worth me backtracking all the way to the mountains pass to level up and get more supplies? Crucially I have no trap disarm left so lost out on several trapped chests.
