The Support Department students were still students and had their own lives.

Mei and the other students in the support department probably had their own projects to complete, some which counted as grades but it seems they always had to fix the Hero Classes gear up straight away. What would happen if they said that their requests were put on the backlog while they had to work on their own version of a final exam project or something along those lines? Would they get in trouble or would it seem reasonable especially when you have students who are more destructive than others and constantly needed their costumes and gear fix.

I believe that Nezu would let them get away with that seeing how that's how the real world works especially at an agency that has multiple heroes but only one or two support people or if you have a support company that takes request from a large number of heroes.

Really wish they show more of the support department in the manga/anime.
