Boots for long distance walks

I'm looking for warm boots for long distance, urban and semi-urban walks. These would not be for hiking nor trekking. I'm set on that front. I just tend to walk a lot even in the city (upward 7-8 miles) and want boots that will both, last a few winters AND keep my feet warm and dry AND be good for my body.

I did lots of research (because I wanted them to be waterproof and be good for small snows), and ordered the Sorel Tivoli V, just like these: https://www.sorel.com/p/tivoli-v-womens-waterproof-boot-2082961.html?dwvar_2082961_color=242

As gorgeous as they are, they are giving my low back pain on day 3 of wearing them and I can tell they're not right due to the high platform. So something flatter with less platform and heel is ideal. I do believe that the closer to the ground and the more flexible the shoes, the better for our posture, gait, and long-term well being.

Thank you in advance!
