The logo is not made of leather?!

I bought a santa fe J14 sandstone MDT jacket production year 2011 in very good condition. The jacket is almost like new, even a little stiff. But the logo looks very worn and it doesn't look or feel like leather. It is more soft and flexible like cotton fabric. Does anyone have any idea what this is? thank you and have a great time.
