19 and looking to get into carpentry as a career (Union route preferably)
This career out of the lot of them seems to have piqued my interest more than others. If somebody could lay a summary of a road map of what it might look like trying to pursue carpentry/woodworking through the union, I'd greatly appreciate it. I know there's an apprenticeship I'd go through and be trained on-site, but some examples are what would my hours look like, and what comes after the apprenticeship? Am I open to more job opportunities through this?
I generally want to prepare myself for what's to come if I do pursue carpentry as my career. What resources or ways can I educate myself till I'm ready to finally figure out an apprenticeship with the union?
