EAD Expired

I massively f-ed up, submitted renewal late and my EAD expired before next approval.

My job hasn't mentioned anything about the new one at all so I'm planning on keeping it on the DL. I'm also part of HR so I was able to see my name come up on our EVerify account (no actual notification was sent out) but now that it's past the date there's no "warning" on my name anymore.

My biggest concern is that my boss is trying to help me get papers through employment, so would continuing to work be a problem for adjusting status? Open enrollment for health insurance is also happening in my company right now, would this also cause disqualification?

Any help is appreciated.

Edit: I talked with my boss, he told me not to worry and to continue working as normal. He apparently has contacts at USCIS and said any lapse in work authorization can be fixed out 🤷‍♀️
