Got my hands on the game!
soooooo for context, I'm a huge fan of the Mass Effect trilogy and never really was interested in Dragon Age. But now, 4 weeks ago, I thought to myself "if I love Bioware's games so much, why not try their other very popular game series" and with that thought, I wanted to start at the very beginning of the story(like always with every other story lmao), and jumped right into DAOrigins.
And I gotta say… I fucking loved it! It was very different from Mass Effect ofc, and I struggled a bit at the start, but I got the hang of it pretty quickly. The story was unbelievably good, the characters were perfectly written, the combat was, for my taste, very old school, but I got used to it! I finished the game in a week and that's it for Origins. Loved it!
Then the next week after that, I started DA2, and… HOLY FUCKING SHIT I LOVED IT EVEN MORE😭 It was literally perfect! The story was masterpiece, the characters were written incredibly good, and the combat… HOLY FUCK THE COMBAT was everything to me LMAOO😭 It was more action oriented than Origins, and it was perfect for me personally. I know that it had some stuff where ppl said the game is shit, some reasons are more understandable than others but in the end, what matters most is how YOU like the game, and not how other ppl like it! SOOOOO YEAH, DA2 IS MY FAV FROM THE SERIES LMAO I was able to finish the game in that week and that's it for DA2.
Then in the third week(btw by this time I was already a huge fan of series lmao), I started Inquisition! At first, it was a bit strange cuz the the controls kinda got changed again, and I had to used to it. Plus, this was the first DA game where I didn't go with a Warrior class, for DAI I chose Rogue, just because I loved Isabela's fighting style in DA2 sooo much, sooo yeah, it was a bit of change for me, but I managed.
As of right now, I'm still in the middle of Inquisition, and I'm having a blast, BUT THERES JUST TOO MUCH STUFF TO DOOO😭
AND THEN… yesterday I saw that they put Veilguard on sale in the Microsoft store on Xbox, and I bought it immediately lmao😭 I'm aware of all the trash ppl have been saying about the game, but I wanna try it out and judge for myself before saying that the game is trash and not buying it because ppl said so. I mean, ppl talked trash about Mass Effect Andromeda when it came out, and yeah, it was a disaster when it first came out, because of bugs and all, but I just recently did my second playthrough of the game, and I had a blast😭 it wasn't as good as the original trilogy(let's be real, the original ME trilogy is fucking unbeatable! It's one of the greatest videogame series I have ever played), but I can at least say that I had fun playing it! Very much so in fact.
So that's all I want from Veilguard. For it to be FUN! Ofc it won't be able to beat the OG games in terms of stroy, writing etc., but at least it will be a fun ride! And even if I don't like the game, I can refund it, have my money back, and everything will be normal again. But I doubt that I won't like it!
HOLY FUCK this turned out to be longer than I expected😭 anyways, what are the stuff you guys like about the game so far? I can't wait to hear! And I will give updates once I start the game!
