I want to get some advice and suggestions on my progress.
It all started back in early May 2024 when I was looking for a game that would really make me sweat. I tried a few tennis games, but they never felt dynamic or realistic enough. Then I came across this masterpiece called ElevenTT (huge props to the devs!).
I played a lot of games against the AI before jumping into ranked matches in June 2024, when ELO actually started to matter. Fast forward almost seven months, playing 4–5 days a week for about an hour each session (my battery can't handle much more), and here we are.
As you can see, I had a couple of brutal weeks that really hurt my ego. I decided to buy an adapter in November, and at first, it completely threw me off - I dropped a lot of points (from 2000 down to 1780) while getting used to it.
This year, I’m planning to play IRL because I’ve really fallen in love with the game. Also bought a racket and balls
Currently I am playing fine even against 2300s or 2400s, what I think will be my limit.
Some things that helped me climb the ranks:
- Listening to advice from good/pro players (basic mechanics, positioning and posture). Obs.: I started practicing the basic mechanics a few days before using the adapter.
- Playing with shoes even at home (this one I began just the last days and it helped a lot)
- Staying calm (well… most of the time xD).
- Keeping consistent settings (same racket, same table height/position every day).
- Warming up with the ball machine, AI, or casual matches for at least 10 minutes before ranked games.
What do you guys think of my progress? Any tips?
