Selling luxury items on Amazon and eBay ?

I've started a company that makes handmade, custom large world globes, and because of the lack of sales and organic traffic i'm thinking of listing the globes on Amazon or ebay. Is that a terrible idea ?

I've never sold on Amazon but i've heard that there is no seller protection, so i could lose +5000 euros and 3 months of work if somebody decides they want a refund ?
