Describe the ending of Inheritance to someone who never read the series.

A while back, I got my best friend to read the series and he absolutely loved it. The close he go to the ending, I kept dropping vague hints about how Eragon would beat Galbatorix. My favorite way of describing the ending is that Galby is beaten with "The Power of Friendship" or Galby "got his feelings hurt."
