HOW TO WATCH: The event is streaming live exclusively on Netflix, with the red carpet airing at 4PM PT/ 7PM ET and the ceremony starting at 5PM PT/ 8PM ET.
Unlike the Oscars and Golden Globes â which are based on votes from the Academy and entertainment journalists, respectively â the SAG Awards are voted on by industry peers who are a part of SAG-AFTRA i.e. fellow actors. Additionally, the SAG Awards recognize the ensemble casts of TV shows and movies in addition to individual acting awards.
