ARC XL for Beginners?

I’ve recently been thinking about dipping my toe into pizza making for fun & something I can do with my young son (5).

In my research I saw two pretty popular brands, ooni and gozney. As someone who knows less than nothing, the gozney seems better quality (feel free to correct me if I’m wrong regarding the two) which brought me to this page.

My question is, would the ARC XL be a good beginner oven? I’m looking for something that I can grow into and not have to replace shortly after getting the hang of things. I’ve seen a lot of people posting their deals at HD and there’s a couple stores in my area that have them and I was going to try and get a deal as they only carry the XL.

For reference, I’d like to focus on NY Style & maybe some bread too. Just looking to have some fun and find something interesting to try.
