Life abroad isn’t always as glamorous as it seems. High costs of healthcare, housing, and education, coupled with challenges like racism and mistreatment (especially in places like the UAE), make it tough. Opportunities are better if you have money, but without it, survival can be harder than at home. Many abroad work multiple jobs just to get by, while a 50k salary here can still sustain you. Think twice before romanticizing life abroad. Go abroad if you have to but make sure your finances are in check otherwise it might be harder than you thought. Or at least have such an amazing degree/skill that is in high demand in that specific country.

Also in Kenya I can’t believe i am saying this but we enjoy more health care rights and freedoms than a US citizen as per current administration.
