First build and opened pandora's box
I've loved using mechanical keyboards for a while now but haven't built or customized any keyboards until now. I ended up getting my wife a super cheap Redragon 611 board a few years ago that has started to die and so I decided I wanted to have her help me pick new parts for my first custom build that she would use. She ended up choosing Kailh Box Jade switches for a majority of the keys and then we did Kailh Box Navy switches for all of the stabilized keys and some of the large non-stabilized keys as well. She chose an Epomaker x Feker Galaxy 80 barebones kit because she wanted a pink keyboard and liked that this kit is fully aluminum and seemed to have a few decent reviews on YouTube. With the barebones kit, the switches and keycaps we are all in under $100, and as I said, this has just opened pandora's box for me. I'm already trying to figure out what my next build will be, but it will be for me next time instead.
