The "capture kulu-ya-ku" optional quest is horrendous
So,
So Ive played the game for 5-6hrs, and just got into the optional quests. Enter the first fetch quest. Mind you, Ive never played a MH game before so obviously a lot of the systems need to be properly explained.
The quest tells me there are traps and there are tranqs. Then it explains how these are used. Cool, got it.
What it doesnt explain is that - at least for me - the tranqs neither get attached to my radial menu or my quick menu. They're in the inventory, so if I want to use one I need to attach it to one of these two quick-use options. How the fck am I - as a first timer in the game - supposed to understand this? Obviously, I don't. So I embark on the quest and when the monster is hurt enough for me to use the trap, I use it. And from here I need to be quick with the tranqs *but at this point I don't even know how to move the freaking tranqs from the pouch to the quick menus so I can use them, and the game does NOT let me use it from the pouch directly**. So obviously, when the trap has worn off, the monster gets up and continues walking.
And here comes the next blood boiling moment: the quest ONLY GIVES YOU ONE TRAP. Do they not understand that many players are doing this for the first time? What happens if they attach the trap at the wrong place and miss the monster, or if the monster doesn't faint the first time you use the tranqs and gets free from the trap?
What am I supposed to do then? The game doesn't tell you. So you have three options: either you kill the monster and fail the quest, or you spend considerable time to farm ingredients so you can create new traps, or you can just abandon the quest and try again. All three options suck and are horrible for a newcomer.
This whole ordeal made my blood boil.
