Video games question

According to several opinions, video games are allowed as long as the video games in question are not intrinsically haram.

However, if the video game in question has illicit elements through which we are « forced » to pass to advance in the video game, but this is not at the center of it, is it possible to just not pay attention by looking away from the screen or something else?
