Anyone else got a copy of this fan comic?

Killjoys Never Die is a fan comic series that is meant to create a story with all of MCR's albums, interwoven together. Gerard is depicted as the Demolition Lover, his fictional girlfriend is named Helena, and has a job at Better Living Industries in New York City.

However, as amazing as the concept sounds, I feel like the execution suffered. The pacing is uneven, expository dialogue takes up a whole page at times, and character logic is nonsensical (for example: Gerard finds his neighborhood burned to the ground and wonders what happened to his aunt and brother, and then doesn't think about them again for the rest of the book). I'm also confused by the characters' ages--Gerard is supposed to be 16-years-old when he meets Helena, who previously dated the Better Living boss. So, if that makes Helena older, wouldn't she be breaking the age of consent laws? And if you didn't know beforehand that this is meant to take place in an alternative universe of 2017, you'd be flabbergasted to see the 9/11 events take place while Michael holds what appears to be a modern cell phone.

That being said, the art stands out in some pages--a collaboration by many Instagram artists, helping bring one fan's idea come to life. And there's a hand-written thank-you note to me on the last page, acknowledging my support and enthusiasm for the project. But overall, I'm not sure if I'd like to continue with Part 2 when it's released, if the issues I had with this one remain.
