Is "awaringly" not a word?
Ever since I was a kid, my dad has told me to be "awaring of your surroundings". at least that's how I remember him saying it. And we said things like "awaringly [doing something]" which made sense to my brain considering its usage originally.
But now I'm texting a friend and I see the little red squiggle under the word and I'm like "is this not a word" and I google it and it doesn't exist. We've even used the extension "unawaringly" which google had an aneurysm at.
am I crazy? did I get transported to an alternate universe where awaring was stripped from the english language? please help
