Isopods in soil bed?

Just built my first soil bed and was wondering if I should throw some isopods in there. I keep isopods as a hobby and was thinking they could be great for the bed except for Jeremy from BAS showing that they can become a problem when they over populate. I guess the question here is how long does this take to happens and have any of y’all ran into any problems with isopods?
