I feel hurt.

Recently, I have been helping out my friend by reselling her authentic Bath and Body and Victoria Secret fragrance mists. I tried peddling these products to my relatives, cousins, and aunts. None were interested which was fine by me. Then I found out from one of my cousins that my other aunts were talking about me behind my back.

“Bat nag bebenta ng mga cologne? Eh manager naman na yan sa callcenter.”

“Wala na cgro makain yan kaya nag bebenta.”

And worst…

“Buti nga sa kanya. Nung nag apply anak ng kumare ko sa office nila di man lang nilakad kesyo di daw nakapasa sa assessment.”

Like WTF????? Gosh, yan naba ngayun? If nag bebenta ka ng something na either as an extra income or to help out someone, people, especially your fam will think na naghihirap at nagugutom kana at deserve mo ang pag hihirap na yan dahil you didn’t do them any favors?????

Kakasuka mentalidad ng ibang Pilipino lalo’t lalo na pamilya. Kasumpa sumpa.
