I've just finished ep 1000, wondering...

I've just completed Ep.1000 where the minks are fighting Kaido and Luffy and Zero are trying to reach the roof... one thing keeps annoying me, why did they gloss over the news of Sabo's alleged death. Without actual spoilers... and I imagine they will come back to it later on, is it a big reveal or ? I don't really know what answer im expecting but just needed to share my mental itch.

Also, I started watching OP in Feb and have binged it since, kinda thinking I should slow down and extend the fun but can't bring myself to not binge it. :( But also want to catch up so I can focus on my studies more :D
