Tax Implications for Class-Action Settlement

My settlement cheque from the Kitec Class-Action Suit just came in the mail and I was shocked to find my payout was just under 11k (vs the ~3.5k I paid for replacement in my unit over 7 years ago).

Do I need to declare this in my tax return?
