Justifying the cost of Prime over standard Prius

No matter how I do the math, can't seem to be able to justify the cost premium of Prime.

Prime costs ~$5,000 more than the standard Prius. Assuming you save $500/year driving 12K miles a year with a mix of EV only and HV driving. It will take 10 years to break even.

And if you have to replace the battery say 3-5 years after, that's an additional $4K-$5K. Back to square one.

To make things worse, if you invested the $5,000, you'd have nearly $12K at the end of the period. Making the standard Hybrid the better choice financially.

Fair to say you don't get Prime to save money?
