Creating Stained Glass Lampshade

Hello! I am a beginner and have a question about making lampshades. I want to make a lampshade for an arched floor lamp (like this) which I bought second-hand. The previous owner must have broken the old lampshade because it had a cloth one when I bought it. I only know how to do the copper foiling technique. Will this be sturdy enough for a lampshade or should I learn how to work with came?
