Makha Bucha Day Poem

When monks and folks come out to pray.

The moon is full, the sky so bright,

A time for peace, and inner light.

With candles lit, we walk in line,

Around the shrine, our hearts align.

Three steps we take, with mindful grace,

To honor Buddha, Dharma, Sangha's place.

No drinks today, the bars are closed,

But joy and calm are still composed.

We give, we chant, we meditate,

And let our worries dissipate.

So gather round, both young and old,

A story of wisdom, forever told.

Makha Bucha, a day so grand,

A celebration across the land!
