I have AA. Does this red area indicate another patch forming?

I (41F) recently discovered I have AA. I currently have a single patch that is experiencing some regrowth after a steroid injection.

Yesterday I experienced a burning sensation on the back of my scalp and noticed that it was very red. Today the redness has calmed but it is still obviously there (see photo). Is this a sign of another patch forming? Is there anything I can do to minimise the risk? I’m currently taking Vit D and will be having an iron infusion tomorrow. I’m also visiting a naturopath soon. Other than that I’m trying (not overly successfully) to remain calm.
