Olive Tree People - Oliveda - Substitutions?
I posted this as a comment on another thread but I think it may have gotten buried...and now I have a question to go along with my story anyway.
So I am usually really discerning about what I put in my skin because I have all sorts of issues going on. And I am very wary of MLMs.
I ended up buying a few of the Oliveda products because they were recommended to me by someone who I thought was a skin issue expert and had purchased a program from. She had previously talked forever about how topicals don't work for the condition I have because it needs to be dealt with internally.
When she talked about Oliveda actually helping, I foolishly jumped on it. No clue it was an MLM - it never crossed my mind to check because she had never done this before.
The good parts: the products I bought actually smell really good and don't irritate my skin.
The bad parts: as you probably already knew, they didn't fix anything but they didn't hurt my skin either. I brought it up to this "expert" and she said "sometimes it just takes a really long time to work". Well they've jacked up their prices since late 2023 as well and she got into recruiting people. Red flags everywhere.
Man did I feel duped. Now seeing all of these huns jumping ship for this company makes me feel foolish for purchasing from them in the first place. It's crazy how good these companies are at targeting insecurities, even for those of us who are vigilant.
Here's the question: has anyone found anything similar to these ingredients that is NOT from an MLM company? And less expensive would be a plus.
Thanks so much for listening and any advice.
