Do guests need to sign new registration paperwork every time they are checked in an out of the same room for consecutive nights?

We have a lot of guests who book through third parties and instead of extending their current reservation they make a new one. So even though the guest might be staying for seven consecutive days in the same room they have three different reservations. Every time that these guests are checked out and then back into our system is it necessary to have new registration paperwork filled out by them?
