Late diagnosed autistics what was something you did as a child that should (finally) have made someone take a closer look but didn’t?
So, during the last months I reflected on so much constantly asking myself how everyone (including me) could have possibly overlooked that I am autistic (and adhd as well but it was a lot harder to see that back then) and I guess many of you feel or felt the same so i thought it could be fun to share some of our greatest hits - late diagnosed autism edition. I will start (in the comments because i don’t want the pictures to be all big in the feed).
EDIT: to be clear, intentionally this post was speaking to people that are diagnosed (rather than suspecting they might be) autistic, talking about stuff they did as a child (rather than a teen/adolszent/young adult), so while not graduating might fit the criteria, everything post graduating for most of us isn’t a childhood event and although I totally do sympathize with everyone of you seeking an assessment and professional help, this was not intended to be the place to discuss these struggles. 🫶🏼
