BWT, what contemporary fiction are we reading lately?

I pretty much exclusively read fiction but find I stick to the classics or literary fiction unless 'recommended' a contemporary novel. What contemporary fiction books have you read and loved lately? Doesn't have to be new new...maybe published in the last thirty years (but also no hard rules here lol).

EDIT: Thank you so much for all the recommendations! Too many comments to reply to all of the individually, but they're much appreciated. I now have a ridiculously long TBR list — Demon Copperhead is at the top as it was the most recommended by a mile.
