BWT, what contemporary fiction are we reading lately?

I pretty much exclusively read fiction but find I stick to the classics or literary fiction unless 'recommended' a contemporary novel. What contemporary fiction books have you read and loved lately? Doesn't have to be new new...maybe published in the last thirty years (but also no hard rules here lol).

Some contemporary fic books I've read lately and enjoyed:

  • The Seven Hushands of Evelyn Hugo (Taylor Jenkins Reid)
  • The Husbands (Holly Gramazio)
  • The Scent of You (Maggie Alderson)
  • Where The Crawdads Sing (Delia Owens)
  • Yellowface (R.F. Kuang)
  • Rules Of Civility + A Gentleman in Moscow + The Lincoln Highway (Amor Towles) // was on a Towles kick

Add your recs below!

EDIT: Thank you so much for all the recommendations! Too many comments to reply to all of the individually, but they're much appreciated. I now have a ridiculously long TBR list — Demon Copperhead is at the top as it was the most recommended by a mile.
