Heating brass stamps

Hi!

Anyone have experience with brass book binding leather stamps and how to heat them?

The gear specially made for this seems quite expensive, so I am looking for alternative solutions. I saw one guy on YouTube use a candle. Also considering buying a small stovetop and a pan.

Any advice will be much appreciated.
