Is opera really not trustworthy ?

I am using Opera One as my daily driver; I am satisfied with the features it has. People on Reddit say it's Chinese bloatware; it steals your personal info.. blah.. blah. We know all browsers have access to some data of their users. Can someone elaborate this topic, why opera getting so much hate?
