Is MSI to be avoided for AM5? - X870 tomahawk

I'm looking at motherboards, so far I'm debating MATX vs ATX

For MATX i've settled on the B650M AORUS ELITE

but for ATX i see the x870 tomahawk is on sale for 280 with a 30 euro steam voucher by registering the product on MSI.. I've seen somethings saying avoid MSI for am5 and that they have issues.. how does this hold up? I heard they had issues with ssds not working or booting at all etc
