Stuck on build/reset

I have been playing the game for a while, having only just had the conversation with oda and done all the Judy stuff, however I have really been debating my play style. I have been using melee and sandevistan throughout the game, and to say it's easy is an understatement (On hard.) But for some time I have been wondering if I am properly getting the night city feel, or to actually feel like a mercenary rather some dude that smacks people with a baseball bat. I am wondering if it was worth respecting into a new build, or restarting entirely

P.S also what would be a good build? Was thinking of assault rifle but I heard it's unplayable, now debating netrunner or pistol build
