Dark skinned magicka build recommendations (not dark elf)

I really want to give magicka sorc and arcanist a try, but the only race that can be dark skinned is a redguard. They have pretty nice racial skills for stamina builds, but my preference is for a magicka build. Any suggestions. I want an earth human feel, but I just don't know if I'll be sacrificing dps for race.
