Gutted with the 9 hours shift every day

Hey guys,

I've been an electrical engineer for more than 13 years and I really cannot stand anyone the 9 hours shift each day for engineers. We are people who are using our mental and brain capacities to the maximum each day and 9 hours is too much plus this shift leaves you with so little time for family friends and hobbies if we consider commuting time on top of it, I'm left with little time to energize.

What's your take on this and do you think we need an engineering revolution? I feel dispirited immensely right now

On top of it, managers/executives/planners/... They all get the cake and credits while we are supposed to clap and cheer them and obey them . And others such as secretary, HR, they most definitely or work less or under less stress and deadlines.

Please let's join forces for some real revolution
