Message from the Mods - June 2024
Hello! It's been a hot minute since we, your tireless moderators, have checked in with you. Here are some updates we'd like you to be aware of.
Changes to the Moderator Team
As some of our moderators have found it necessary to step back from their duties, we're pleased that u/Measure76 -- the original founder of this subreddit 15 years ago! -- has returned to take the helm. See the comments below for a note from him.
In addition, our two former chat moderators -- u/big_bearded_nerd and u/TheChurchOrganist -- have stepped up into full moderator roles. All those who wish to extend a warm welcome, please do so by the raising of – oh, forget it.
AI Image Guidelines
We've noticed a recent proliferation of AI-generated images being posted in r/exmormon. We recognize these images do have cathartic value for some, but not everyone will agree. Effective immediately, any posts containing AI-generated imagery must be tagged with the Humor/Memes/AI flair.
For those members who don't care to see these posts, it is possible to filter your Reddit feed to exclude all posts containing that flair. In the search bar type -flair:Humor/Memes/AI. If all you want to see is Humor/Memes/AI posts, then click on that flair in the topic search section in the sidebar. Note: any flair can be filtered out this way. If, for example, you do not want to see History posts, you can type -flair:History in the search bar. This Reddit Help post explains how.
By the Numbers
In terms of sub health, the news is all good! We’re especially proud of reaching almost 10 million unique page views in the subreddit in the past 30 days by 56,500 unique visitors. Membership in the sub continues to climb slowly but surely.
