How did your top surgery go? (And surgeon recommendations)

My BMI is over 40 and I'm 260 pounds. TW that I talk a bit about anxiety over having surgery at my current weight.

I'm currently trying to find a surgeon who feels confident and comfortable working on bigger bodies. I'm in the Midwest US and have been recommended Dr. Haddad of Indianapolis, Dr. Corral of Baltimore, and one other one whose name I can't remember off the top of my head. If you have any names or want to say something about those two surgeons, please feel free to! (I am already aware of Dr. Corral's patient photography issue but haven't read up on it extensively).

I've been having anxiety about getting surgery at my current weight. I fear losing weight bc it would make my chest more prominent, but at the same time being bigger for the surgery makes me more anxious. I think one part is fear of being mistreated bc I'm bigger, and the other part is potential risks. Although, my overall health is fine according to my testosterone check-ups, as I have taken steps the past couple of years to improve my diet and physical activity. So I guess I really shouldn't worry that much. It's probably internalized fatphobia tbh.

I thought coming here and asking for people's experiences might help me deal with my anxiety. If you have any tips for recovery as a fat person, please feel free to share too!
