Injury question
A CCA that was in probation was fired from my office for throwing away mail last week. I received this message from him today.
I got fired, but I hurt my finger my second to last day and when postmaster was made aware of the injury that night he discouraged me from seeking medical attention for it. I’ve since had it x rayed and the tip of my finger is broken. What are my options?
I told him to fill out a CA-1 and submit it. Is there something else I should be directing him to do? I've never had an employee report an injury after separation.
