Best ways/strategies to profit?

So I’ve been gambling I would say for a year now, and I don’t gamble all over the place I really only stick to roulette, and sports betting. I am what you would call a “safe better”. Nothing over $100 on a single bet/parlay/roulette spin. I have before and sometimes I win big but also lose big as well. I’m also aware that for the most part ppl who gamble will always be down in total money spent gambling. So within roulette and sports betting, what would you say would be the smartest/safest bets to do if I’m trying to profit in the long run? Many ppl would say there’s no strategy it’s all luck etc. but I want to hear from you guys on what you think is the best way to achieve profit while also not betting too much money at a time.
