Stock 2016 R Spec. What are you doing first?
Joining the family, everything’s been finalized, just gotta drive 3ish hours to pick it up. 1 owner, 60K miles, no accidents or damage, good maintenance record. Absolute gem.
While I work my schedule out to find time to grab the car. I’ve been scratching my head thinking about what I want to do with it when I first get it. I plan on doing a lot long term, but I have around $3K to throw at it when I first get the car.
Here’s what I feel like I NEED to get so far. -Fresh spark plugs -Catch can -Megan’s racing trans mount (not sure if this car has lockout issues when shifting, but I know it’s very common. Preventative maintenance) -Seals to combat water leakage
Where’s what I know I want -ISR Performance Race Cat Back Exhaust -ARK down pipe and test pipe -Chrome wheels, likely PVD Chrome but haven’t found a set I’m enthralled by yet. - Leaning towards Bilstein coils, BC is option #2. I want to be lower than stock, but I don’t want to be scraping my nuts anytime there’s a bump.
If you all could drop pics your wheels as well as the specs, it would be greatly appreciated. Also, if you have any recommendations on the exhaust set up, performance is priority for me but I feel the listed set up might be a little raspy. I do want a nice deeper tone, and natural pops/ bangs without a specific tune for it is a bonus as well, the nastier the pops and bangs the better.
I’ve seen the master list, i plan on doing a lot in the long term. But short term with about $3K, what would you prioritize?
