How to increase air circulation in old apartment with 2 wall ac units?
Hi! I need advice on how to increase air circulation in my apartment. I’ll share what I’ve tried and what I’m working with.
I am renting an older 700 sqft apartment in Phoenix, AZ. It’s a 1 bedroom with two wall ac units. 1 unit is in the living room and another is in the bedroom. There is a ceiling fan in the kitchen and in the bedroom. The bedroom is fresh and stays cool. But the living room, kitchen and bathroom are stuffy and hot. The air is not circulating well despite the unit in the living room running at 73 consistently, a standing fan and the ceiling fan all running.
It’s summer so the ceiling fan is running counterclockwise.
I just want it to feel fresh in every room. Right now I feel like I’m breathing in stale air and I am tired of sweating in every room besides my bedroom.
My bathroom doesn’t have a vent so I have to open the window while I’m showering. But I don’t leave that window open for long because it’s letting 100+ degree air in.
The 2 wall ac units that I have are different kinds. The one in the living room seems a bit older. I don’t know if it’s well insulated. But if it’s not, maybe filling any gaps will help with the stuffiness?
Any recommendations?
