Is the Grand Hyatt São Paulo 🇧🇷 worth it?

Hi everyone, I’ve stayed at a fair few Hyatts and I have noticed that they, just any other chain, have properties that are inconsistent. That’s why I am here for more insight!

I will be travelling to São Paulo in SEP 2025 for 3-4 nights, and I have a few awards to use - FNA, CAA, GOH & SUA. So first I wanted to start by asking is this hotel really worth the £250-£300+/nightly rate in SEP 2025? I have read some concerning stuff online about it. From guests saying that staff need retraining, to the property being tired and in a need of renovation.

  1. Should I use GOH / CAA or SUA for my stay? What is the hotel’s willingness for upgrades and are they generous with their members?

  2. How is the lounge? Is the Globalist breakfast nice? Is it worth it or should I sacrifice it for a suite with my SUA? Or should I go all in and get a nice room + lounge access with the GOH?

  3. Should I make a cash rate reservation for night one, then have my 1-4 FNA for night two, and then points for night three? Does that sound like a good plan? So I could use an award to be attached by customer service(will phone them) to all 3 dates starting with the cash rate first of course?

Thank you! And Merry Christmas 🎄🎅🏼
